Dear Chess Supporter:

Welcome to the Florida Scholastic Chess League (FSCL). First let me take this opportunity to express my gratitude to everyone involved in making last year's SUPERSTATE VII a successful championship. It has been hard for us to plan these events with the all economic problems and schools budget situations, but we made it!

Our team put forth a tremendous effort to make this possible and it was, and always will be, worth all the hard work.
I would like to congratulate all the chess players and School Team winners!

Also, I would like to give a special thanks to all of the parents, teachers, sponsors, and coaches that were involved in bringing participants to all the FSCL events and in our 1st National Chess Day Tournament held in Miami.

Your cooperation is instrumental in order to have a well organized and successful event and together we will have a wonderful year.
Thank you and I look forward to seeing you at SUPERSTATE VIII in Orlando, February 4-6, 2011.

Elizabeth Tejada

FSCL Commissioner
